Treat ("the App") is designed with your privacy first. This policy explains what information the App handles and why.

The App is published by Caveman Studio (Wizard Bldg. 402, 1-4-3 Sengen-cho, Nishi-ku, Yokohama, Kanagawa 220-0072, Japan).

1. Screen Time & Usage Data

The App uses Apple's Family Controls / Screen Time framework to block and unlock apps and to show your usage. This measured Screen Time data is processed only on your device and is never transmitted to or stored on our servers or any third party. It is kept in an on-device App Group container.

2. Information We Collect

• Product analytics (PostHog): anonymous interaction events such as which screens you view and which buttons you tap, used to improve the App. It never includes your measured Screen Time or the specific app names you select.
• Diagnostics / crash data (Sentry): technical error information when the App crashes, used to fix bugs.
• Acquisition source & referral code (optional): how you heard about the App (answered during setup) and any referral code you enter. Used to understand which channels the App spreads through, and recorded in PostHog and RevenueCat.
• Ad attribution (Apple Search Ads): campaign information (such as campaign ID) when the App was installed via Apple Search Ads, obtained through Apple's AdServices framework. It contains no directly identifying information.

This data is linked to a random identifier assigned to your device.

The App does not request or collect directly identifying information such as your name, email, or phone number. No account is required.

3. Purchases

Subscriptions (Treat Premium) are purchased through Apple In-App Purchase. Payment is handled by Apple; we never receive your card details. We may use RevenueCat to manage and analyze subscription status.

4. Sharing & Advertising

We do not use collected information for advertising or share it with data brokers. Device or usage data obtained through the Screen Time framework is never shared beyond providing the App's features.

5. Retention & Deletion

On-device data can be erased at any time by deleting the App. Analytics and diagnostic data are kept only as long as needed for their purposes, according to each provider's retention settings.

6. International Transfers

PostHog, Sentry, and RevenueCat process data mainly in the United States. We rely on safeguards required by applicable law, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), for these transfers.

7. For Users in the EU, EEA, and UK (GDPR)

The controller of your personal data is Caveman Studio. Our legal bases are performance of a contract for providing and managing subscriptions, and our legitimate interests for fixing bugs, improving the App, and understanding acquisition channels.

You have the right to access, rectify, or erase your data, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. To exercise these rights, contact us below. Because the App does not collect your name or similar details, we may ask for additional information to identify your data.
